Included in the price:
PREMIUM SERVICE of delivery of the car at the Airport, Port of Mahón and hotels immediately, with no ques or waiting, all in the same place of collection (in the case of hotels, indicate name in comments). We will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a sign with our name, ABLACARS RENT A CAR, and we will accompany you to the reserved car.
Courtesy period of 1 hour from the pick-up time (prior notice to ABLACARS RENT A CAR).
Unlimited mileage.
VAT/Tax
Vehicle theft coverage.
Free additional driver.
Damage coverage without excess in the selected models.
Compulsory insurance included with civil liability
In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, it is mandatory for the client to fill out an accident/damage report and deliver it to our office. Likewise, in case of theft of the vehicle, the client is obliged to report it to the Police and deliver the report to our office.
Any accident or damage to the vehicle that is not reported will be interpreted as negligence on the part of the client and the client may incur additional expenses.
Not covered by insurance and considered extras:
And therefore the following cases of loss or damage will be covered by the client:
Damage caused by reckless driving or under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
Fines and traffic penalties.
Damage caused to the underside of vehicles, heels and clutch
Damage caused by hitting curbs, sidewalks, bollards, stones/rocks and lampposts damaging rims, tires, bodywork, etc.
Lost or broken vehicle key.
Refueling with incorrect fuel.
Towing service (only when the client incurs negligence not covered by insurance).
ABLACARS RENT A CAR is not responsible for objects that could be forgotten inside the vehicle by the client.
YOUNG DRIVER insurance for drivers between 21 – 25 years of age, maximum €20.
Availability of car seats and booster seats for children.
ASSISTANCE
24 hours, 365 days a year.
FUEL POLICY
ABLACARS RENT A CAR does not charge gasoline or refueling in advance. The car is delivered full and returned full or the other option is to return the car with the same amount of fuel that it was delivered. In the event that it is not returned with the same amount, ABLACARS RENT A CAR reserves the right to charge €25 for the service of refueling the vehicle and subsequent filling prices, paying the amount of fuel needed.
TRAFFIC FINES
ABLACARS RENT A CAR will charge an administrative fee of €20 (VAT included) to the client when we receive a traffic fine. ABLACARS RENT A CAR is required by law to provide the authorities with the data of customers who receive a traffic ticket during the rental period.
This rate does not include the payment of the traffic fine; It will be the client who has to make the payment of the same directly to the local authorities.
ABANDONMENT OF THE VEHICLE
Customers who leave the vehicles in a place other than the agreed place in the rental contract will be responsible for the costs generated by the breach of the contract. In addition, apart from the daily rental rate, a daily penalty charge of €20 (VAT included) will be applied.
RESTRICTIONS
Vehicles may not leave the island of Menorca under any circumstances.
Clients will have to provide us with a local address (flat, apartment, villa, hotel, etc.)
The minimum age of the driver is 21 years, with a driving license for more than 24 months
Maximum age to rent 75 years.
If the reserved vehicle category is not available at the time of collection, a higher category will be provided at no additional cost
The insurance does not cover, in any case, accidents and damages caused by driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medications or any other substance that reduces the driver’s capacity, as well as when the driver is not authorized to drive the leased vehicle or even if it is, the accident occurs in breach of the provisions of the contract or the elementary rules of circulation
Any complaint must always be reported within 24 hours after taking the vehicle, that is, claims made after this period of time have elapsed.
In case of returning the vehicle before the end date of the contract, no amount will be refunded.
STANDARD OR EXTREME CLEANING
The rental price includes a standard cleaning of the vehicle, however, in the event that the vehicle is returned extremely dirty, ABLACARS RENT A CAR will be forced to charge €30 for special cleaning.
Smoking is totally prohibited
Smoking inside the vehicle is totally prohibited, as well as any damage to the vehicle’s upholstery. It will lead to €250 cleaning fee to recondition the vehicle,
BOOKING CANCELLATION
Cancellations without penalty must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the rental, which will be understood as 08:00 a.m. on the first day. Otherwise, the following will apply: – From 48 hours to 24 hours, 75% of the total agreed price will be paid. – Less than 24 hours, 100% of the total agreed price will be paid.
ABLACARS RENT A CAR reserves the right to cancel a reservation within a maximum period of 48 hours, once the reservation has been received. As a consequence, the full amount will be disbursed to the user.
LATE RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
If the vehicle is returned later than the time agreed in the rental contract, the insurance will be invalidated and the client will be responsible for the payment of €20 per day (VAT included). In addition to this payment, the client will also be responsible for paying the daily rental rate.
PICK UP OF THE VEHICLE AT THE AIRPORT
The client will pay the costs of the parking ticket at the Menorca airport at the time of collection. The amount of the ticket will not exceed €5, and otherwise the customer can claim the amount exceeded, except for deliveries between 10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m., when it can be up to €10. ABLACARS RENT A CAR will be responsible for the parking ticket when the client returns the vehicle at the end of their contract.
— Customers who return the car to the Airport/Port must leave the car unlocked with key and parking ticket in the glove box. In the event of returning the vehicle to the wrong car park (another airport car park, yellow line, loading and unloading, etc.), the resulting costs will be covered by the customer who parked the car, even if the date of the penalty is later than the expiration of the lease
In case of not being able to attend the reservation of a car, ABLACARS RENT A CAR reserves the right to avenge the rental service of the same to another company in the sector with the same conditions.
